Se ti hanno mai domandato "chi vince?" e hai avuto difficoltà a rispondere, allora questo blog fa per te.
Effectively describing the tabletop RPG market in Italy is a task beyond anyone’s grasp. It has never reached its affirmation as mass entertaining tool so there are no official data about its sales and the audience is generally unorganized and quite fragmented. In Italy RPGs are a “niche market in a niche market”. Since the beginning, this activity didn’t find the correct collocation in the entertainment market segment; big publishers and distributor almost ignored the phenomenon in the past years, as game industry considered RPGs as books, while editorial companies considered them as board game. Therefore, RPGs are still considered a spurious category. Moreover, the recent diffusion of RPG “concept” in videogames and the opportunities created by the digital delivery (and the consequent reduction of production costs) caused a proliferation of underground and indie products that usually reach nothing more than the break-even point.
